Court Briefs 08-12-14

The following people appeared in Cheyenne County Court on Thursday, August 11, 2014 before the Honorable Randin Roland:

Brian Gray, age 29 of Sidney appeared for arraignment on a charge of DUI 1st high test, a class W misdemeanor. He requested an attorney. The entry of plea has been scheduled for Aug. 25.

Dennis Charles, age 42 of Sidney appeared for arraignment on a charge of DUI 1st high test, a class W misdemeanor. He requested an attorney. The entry of plea has been scheduled for Aug 25.

Quentin Cranmore, age 37 of Sidney appeared for arraignment on a charge of DUI 1st and chemical? test refusal, both class W misdemeanors. He appeared with counsel. The entry of plea set for Aug. 25.

Rachel Jacobs, age 26 of Sidney appeared for entry of plea on a charge of DUI 2nd, a class W misdemeanor. She pled not guilty. A pre-trial conference set for Aug. 25.

Sally Stuart, age 45 of Sidney, appeared for entry of plea on a charge of DUI 1st , a class W misdemeanor. She pled guilty and received 6 months probation plus $800 in fines.

Gary Vanatter Jr., age 26 of Sidney, appeared for a pre-trial conference on a charge of DUI 1st and chemical test refusal, both class W misdemeanors. A pre-trial conference has been continued to Aug. 25 at 9 a.m.

Steven Simpson, age 54 of Sidney appeared for a pre-trial conference on an amended charge of cruelty to an animal, a class I misdemeanor. He pled guilty to an amended charge of improperly disposing of an animal carcass, a class II misdemeanor. He received four days in jail and a $250 fine.
