New dentist in town
As Sidney grows, its services, including dentistry, must expand to meet resident need.
Summit Dental Group added Dr. Tony George, who recently graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry, to its team a few weeks ago to help remedy growing demand for dentists.
"We're extremely busy,"said Dr. Michael Neal, who founded Summit Dental Group in 2002.
Neal decided to add another dentist to the practice because he predicts that Sidney will continue to grow.
"Two dentists can provide better services," he said.
George, who grew up in Colorado Springs said he was excited to become part of the Sidney community.
"I look forward to working with highly skilled and friendly staff here to help our patients achieve optimum dental health," George said in a press release.
Neal chose to hire George after George interned with him last year.
"After mentoring Dr. George for three weeks last summer, I was, and am, impressed with the quality of work he provides," Neal said in a press release. "I am also impressed by Dr. George's strong ethical and moral foundation and his commitment to continued education to ensure that his patients receive the best care possible."
George comes from a dentistry background. His father and brother are both orthodontists and his younger brother is studying dentistry.
"Tony has got a lot of talent," Neal said.
George said that after working at the practice for about two weeks, he felt comfortable due to the staff's expertise. George wants to help patients attain healthier, happier lives.
"So far I've enjoyed working with the patients I've seen," he said.
In his free time George enjoys fishing, hiking and traveling as well as wrestling. He participated in and coached wrestling after high school.
