Sweetsers dominate the lanes at Cornhusker State Games

Tiffany and Brady Sweetser capped off their swim season with a bang, taking home a combined eight medals at their final meet of the summer, the Cornhusker State Games in Lincoln.

Swimming in the 15 to 18 age group, Brady Sweetser captured four gold medals-the 50-meter breaststroke, 50-meter butterfly, 50-meter freestyle and the 100-meter I.M.

A swimmer with a team-first attitude, he had many people to credit for his fantastic season.

"I wouldn't want to talk about myself," Brady Sweetser said. "I couldn't really have done it without my friends I've always been swimming with. They've brought me up to what I am now. We've all helped each other. Also, my mom [Debbie Sweetser] because she signed us up."

Competing in the 13 to 14 age group, Brady's niece Tiffany nearly matched him medal for medal. She also won four-three gold and one silver. She took silver in the 50 breaststroke and gold in the 50 butterfly, the 50 freestyle and the 100 I.M.

Both swimmers are looking forward to the start of the new season next summer.
