School Supplies Sign-up

Holy Trinity’s Table of Grace is now registering children who are in need of school supplies for the 2014-2015 school year. This year they will be donating basic school supplies for children in grades K-6. Every child will receive the same supplies (i.e. pencils, crayons, scissors, rulers, etc.). These supplies will be available for the children to put in the backpacks they already have or ones that their parents provide for them. You can register your child until Aug. 4th and they will receive their supplies before school starts. Please be sure to give them your current address and phone number so they are able to contact you when it is time to pick up your child’s supplies. You can call Deb at Holy Trinity at 254-3124 to sign up or sign up at the food pantry in Sidney on July 18th.

Square Dancers will dance for Oregon Trail Days on the corner of 10th and O Street in Gering at 8:00 on Friday. If the weather is bad, then we will move to the IOOF Hall in Gering for a regular dance.

10th Annual Garden Walk - A Cheyenne County Ladies Chamber Event! Sat., July 12, 9 a.m. to noon, starts at the Library. (Rain Date: Sunday, July 13, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.)

A Night of Hope Walk for Cancer meeting

A Night of Hope Walk for Cancer holds its regular monthly meetings on the third Tuesdays of every month from April to August. This will be the last meeting before the Walk on August 8th. This month’s meeting will be on Tuesday, July 15th at 5:30 p.m. at the Dorwart Cancer Center located at 830 Pine Street in Sidney. Dash For The Splash Triathlon 2014 - Sidney Regional Medical Center is hosting a Super Sprint Triathlon which consists of a 250 meter swim, an 8 mile bike ride, and a 2 mile run. The event will be held at the Sidney Swimming Pool & Deadwood Trail. All proceeds will go toward Sidney Swimming Pool Project and Deadwood Trail Expansion Project. The race begins at 7:30 a.m. Individual and team registration for ages 14 & up. Register by July 21st to guarantee an event T-shirt.
