The following people appeared in Cheyenne County Court on Thursday, June 19, before the Honorable Derek Weimer:
Roger Stuart, age 64 of Potter, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Distribution of Oxycontin, a class III felony. A jury trial has been set for July 31 and August 1, at 8:30 a.m. The pre-trial conference set for July 8 at 9 a.m. The defense filed a motion for withdraw of the case pending speedy trial issues. A hearing on this matter occurred July 9 at 8:15 a.m.
Brandon Terry, age 27 of Aurora, Colo., appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Burglary, a class III felony. He pled not guilty.
Antonio Valerio, age 57 of Sidney, appeared for sentencing on an amended charge of Attempted Possession of Meth, a class I misdemeanor. He received 24 months probation, three days in jail and waivable jail time.
Jason Frei, age 57 of Potter, appeared for sentencing on an amended charge of Child Abuse and Attempted Tampering with a Witness. Both are class I misdemeanors. He received 90 days in jail upfront with credit for two days, a $1,000 fine, 500 hours of community service. Jail will be served on the anniversary of the date of the offense.
Kathy Heth, age 59 of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a charge of Possession of Hydrocodone, a class IV felony. She asked for counsel. A status hearing is set for Aug. 12 at 9 a.m.
The following people appeared in Deuel County District Court on Monday, July 7, before the Honorable Derek Weimer:
Connor Stone, age 21 of Denver, Colo. appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Possession of Hash. A class IV felony. He pled guilty to an amended charge of Possession of MJ less than 1 oz and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, both infractions, as there was insufficient evidence to support a conviction for Possession of Hash.
Austin Swartz, 19 of Celina, OH appeared for arraignment on charges of Possession of Marijuana with Intent, Possession of Hash with Intent, Possession of Hash and No Drug Tax Stamps. These are class III, III, IV and IV felonies, respectively. A status hearing set for Sept. 8 at 1:30 p.m.
Trevor Kriegel, age 19 of Celina, OH appeared for arraignment on charges of Possession on the same charges as above. His status hearing is also set for Sept. 8 at 1:30 p.m.
Berit Golden, age 26 of St. Paul, Minn., appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Possession of Hash, a class IV felony. Another status hearing has been set for Aug. 4 at 1:30 p.m. Judge Weimer also handled the presentment for Deuel County Court Judge, the Honorable Randin Roland on a charge of Possession of Hash with the Intent to Deliver, likewise a class IV felony. A hearing to schedule the preliminary hearing has been set for July 17.
Maradona Niravong, age 24 of Aurora, Ill., appeared for arraignment on a charge of Possession of Hash with Intent, Possession of Hash and No Drug Tax Stamps. These are class III, IV and IV felonies, respectively. A status hearing has been set for Sept. 8 at 1:30 p.m.
Samuel Daniwiecz, age 20 of Minneapolis, Minn., appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Possession of Hash, a class IV felony. He pled guilty to an amended charge of Attempted Possession of Hash, a class I misdemeanor. He received a $500 fine and two days jail.
Adam Bowlby, age 20 of Minneapolis, Minn., appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Possession of Hash, a class IV felony. He pled guilty to an amended charge of Attempted Possession of Hash, a class I misdemeanor. He also received a $500 fine and two days jail.
