Lana Louise Keller

1955 to 2014

Lana Louise Keller, 58 of Benkelman, Neb., passed away peacefully at the Dundy County Hospital. She was born in Stratton, Neb. on July 20, 1955, to John A. and Dolly (Cemer) Hanes. She graduated from Trenton High School in 1973. Lana was employed for several years at the El Dorado Manor.

On Aug. 11, 1985 she was united in marriage to William “Bill” Keller. Lana received her Certificate of Dietary Management from the University of North Dakota while working at El Dorado Manor. The couple lived in Sidney for 15 years, moving into Benkelman in 2010. Lana worked at the Dundy County Hospital for 4 years.

Lana Enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, on-line computer games and was an avid reader. She was a member of the Church of God in Trenton. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers: 2 infant brothers and Robert Hanes; brother-in-law: Don Voeller; sister-in-law: Virginia Hanes nieces: Marsha Lozano; Audria Voeller: Nephew: Heath Todd.

Lana is survived by her husband: Bill of Benkelman; one daughter: Lisa (Hanes) Lock of St. Louis, MO; one son: Jason and wife Katie Hanes of Sidney; 7 grandchildren: Brian; Brandon; Ashtyn; Madison; Landon; Ethan and Stone; one sister: Patti and husband Don Williams of St. Francis, Kan. 4 brothers: Mike Hanes of New Mexico; Ed Hanes; Nolan and wife Carol Hanes all of Trenton; Ken and wife Cathie Hanes of McCook; along host of nieces and nephews and friends

Funeral Services will be held at the Church of God in Trenton on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Andra Roberts officiating. Visitation will be held at the Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel in Trenton on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friends may leave on-line condolences at http://www.herrmannfh.com. Memorials may be left in Lana’s name to the American Cancer Society.
