On Saturday, June 21, the Pony Express Trail Association dedicated their 63rd Pony Express granite monument. The monument will tell the story of the "Deep Well" Pony Express station site. The location of the monument is the southeast corner of Highway 385 and Road 42, two miles south of Gurley.
