University of Nebraska-Lincoln students elected a new slate of officers and representatives this spring for the Association of Students of the University of Nebraska, the student government body. The students will represent their colleges or provide leadership for student government through April.
Luke Castner of Sidney was elected Senator at Large.
Castner is a junior majoring in elementary education. He is the son of Ralph and Kim Castner.
The new student president and representative to the University of Nebraska Board of Regents is Kevin Knudson, the internal vice president is Grant Garrison of Omaha, the external vice president is Christina Guthmann and the speaker of the senate is Jeffrey Story. All are from Omaha.
