Serving proudly since 1873 as the beautiful Nebraska Panhandle's first newspaper
Nebraska Tourism brought a group of 20 national travel writers through Sidney this week. On Wednesday morning they met with outdoor experts at Cabela's to hear about new trends in camping and other activities. The writers contribute to such publications as The New York Times, Family Circle, National Geographic Traveler, Arthur Frommer's Budget Travel, Barron's, The Wall Street Journal and other papers. The group will also visit Ogallala, Fort Robinson and sites along the Oregon Trail. The junket was organized for Nebraska Tourism by the Tallahassee, Florida, public relations firm Geiger & Associates.
