The following people appeared in Cheyenne County Court on Monday, June 9, before the Honorable Randin Roland:
Leslie Rosenbaum, age 26 of Sidney, appeared for a pre-trial conference on a charge of DUI High 2nd Offense, a class W misdemeanor. Pursuant to a plea agreement she pled guilty to an amended charge of DUI 1st High Test, a class W misdemeanor. She received 120 hours of community service, $600 in fines and 12 months probation.
Tyson Long, age 27 of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a charge of Exhibition of Acceleration and Reckless Driving. These are class II and III misdemeanors, respectively. He pled guilty and received $900 in fines.
David Kogl, age 56 of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a charge of Failure to Report an Accident, a class II misdemeanor. He is contemplating hiring counsel. Entry of plea is set for June 23.
The following people appeared in Deuel County Court on Monday, June 9, before the Honorable Randin Roland:
Matthew Cotton, age 26 of Sterling, Colo., appeared for presentment on a charge of Stalking and Violation of a Domestic Protection Order. These represent a class IV felony and a class I misdemeanor, respectively. He asked for counsel. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 20 at 1:30 p.m. in Cheyenne County.
The following people appeared in Deuel County District Court on Monday, June 9, before the Honorable Derek Weimer:
Louis Smith, age 33 of St. Louis, Missouri, did not appear for a hearing on his motion to withdraw his plea on a charge of Attempted Possession of Marijuana with Intent and Possession of Marijuana over 1 pound--both class IV felonies. That hearing has been continued to June 23 at noon in Cheyenne County.
Jeffrey Baldridge, age 52 of Chappell, appeared for a suppression hearing on a charge of Possession of Meth, a class IV felony. Pursuant to a plea agreement he pled to an amended charge of Attempted Possession of Meth, a class I Misdemeanor. PSI was ordered and sentencing has been set for July 28 at 9 a.m. in Cheyenne County.
