Ethel Loretta Belden

1933 to 2014

Ethel Loretta Belden passed away peacefully on Saturday May 31, 2014, after a lengthy illness, going to her heavenly home to join her parents and beloved great grandson, Milo. She leaves behind her husband Ben and her son Brett and wife Isabel all of Thermopolis, Wyo; her daughter Benna, for Cheyenne, Wyo.; her son Brad and wife Kelly of Wellington, Colo.; and her son Bruce; her brother Rocky and wife Jo of Wheatland, Wyo.

Ethel was born Dec 7, 1933 in Wheatland, Wyo. to Paul and Pearl Lawrence. She grew up in Wheatland, Wyo. graduating from Wheatland High school, where she participated in many activities. She was baptized in 1950 at the First Christian Church in Wheatland. Ethel married W. Ben Belden Jr. April 28, 1952 and moved to Sidney, Neb. to raise her family. In Sidney, Ethel was active in PTA, Jaycees, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and the many other sports activities of her family. She also enjoyed watching ice dancing and helping seniors.

In 1974 the Belden's moved to Fort Collins, Colo. where Ethel continued to be involved in family activities, church, crafts, and gardening.

Ethel was Grandma B to 11 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. She will be missed by her family and friends and all the neighborhood children who were treated to cookies by "Grandma B".

Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on June 16th 2014 at the Wheatland Cemetery in Wheatland, Wyo. Cremation has been entrusted to Allnutt Funeral Service.
