1944 to 2014
Bernie L. Koehn, 70, of Sunol and longtime Sidney area resident, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday evening, June 5, 2014 at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colo.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tues., June 10th in the Sidney Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Monday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Bernie's name to the Sidney Church of Christ.

Bernie was born on May 22, 1944 in Sidney to Bill and Adella Koehn. Bernie graduated from Sidney High School with the class of 1962 and went on to study accounting and business at LaSalle College. He was married to the love of his life, Donna Yeager on May 3, 1964 in Sidney.
During high school, Bernie worked at Jack and Jill Grocery and then began his full-time career in the meat department of Town and Country Market. He moved back to Jack and Jill as the manager of the meat department, eventually becoming the owner in 1984. He served the community from his post at his beloved grocery store until his retirement in 2005. Bernie loved greeting people with a big smile as they came into the store, serving his customers' needs by delivering groceries, placing special orders and serving the best cuts of meat in town. He was active in the community serving in various capacities including as a Deacon for the Sidney Church of Christ where he could be frequently found leading the song service on Sundays and Wednesday evenings.
Bernie took special delight in his family including his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Donna Koehn of Sunol; his daughter Kristal Willoughby and her husband Mike of Celina, TX; his Daughter Gina Clifford of Parker, Colo .; his daughter Melissa Nyman and her husband Jerry of Laramie, Wyo. and; his son Darrell Koehn and his wife Kelly of Sidney; and eleven grandchildren, Lyndon Willoughby, Matthew Willoughby, Jackson Willoughby, Garrett Clifford, William Clifford, Madison Nyman, Jack Nyman, Maggie Koehn, Malcolm Koehn, Sam Charamie and Riley Cheramie.
