The following people appeared in Deuel County District Court on Tuesday, May 14, before the Honorable Derek Weimer:
Kristie Keenan, age 30 of Dalton, appeared with counsel for a pre-trial conference on a charge of Extortion, a class III felony. A plea agreement has been reached and the jury trial is no longer scheduled. An entry of plea will be scheduled within the next few weeks.
Sean Gdowski, age 34 of Dalton, appeared with counsel for a status hearing on a charge of Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, Attempted Possession of Meth with Intent to Deliver within 1,000 feet of a school zone, Possession of Meth and Criminal Possession of Financial Transaction Device. These are class III, II, IV and III felonies, respectively. A jury trial is set for July 22 – 25. The pre-trial conference is set for July 2 at 8:30 a.m.
Wyatt Coleman, age 26 of Sidney, appeared with counsel for sentencing on an amended charge of Theft, a class IV Felony. He received 24 months probation and agreed to pay restitution in the amount of $800.
Brandon Terry, age 27 of Aurora, Colo., did not appear for a status hearing on a charge of Burglary, a class III felony. He pled not guilty. His status hearing has been continued at his attorney’s request to June 25 at 1 p.m.
Antonio Valerio, age 57 of Sidney, appeared with counsel for a status hearing on a charge of Possession of Meth. He pled guilty to an amended charge of Attempted Possession of Meth. Sentencing has been scheduled for June 25 at 2:30 p.m.
Gabriel Portillo, age 37 of Potter, did not appear for arraignment on a charge of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, a class ID felony. His attorney filed a motion to continue the arraignment and arraignment has been set for June 4 at 9:15 a.m.
Johnny Lancaster age 53 of Sidney, appeared with counsel for arraignment on a charge of DUI 3rd Offense High Test, a class IIIA felony. A status hearing is set for June 16 at 1 p.m.
