Nelda Fay Robinson

1941 to 2014

Nelda Fay Robinson was born on Jan. 9, 1941 in Lookeba-Sickles, Okla. to Arlis E. and Pearl F. (Slatten) Goodman. She passed away on May 2, 2014 in Oklahoma City at the age of 73. Nelda attended East Walnut School and then graduated from Binger High School. She worked in Oklahoma City as a waitress, manager of tellers at a bank, as a caregiver, raised 8 children and helped with many of her grandchildren.  She married Ray Robinson, Oct. 18, 1981 in Hinton, Okla. and has lived in Sidney for many years.  Nelda was a kind and loving person, she loved all her friends and family.  She enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, rose gardening, shopping and collecting antiques.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sidney.

Survivors Include: her husband Ray Robinson of the home in Sidney, her children: Keith Morris of Sidney, Diana Morris, Beverly, Kan., Leo Robinson and wife Amy of Palmer, Neb., Tina Sifuentez of Dalton, Rita Robinson of Englewood, Colo., Alanna Tomjack and husband Troy of  Killdeer, ND and Alisha Robinson of Camp Verde, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and one on the way, siblings: Gail Fox and husband Olin of Everett, Wash., Nada Wilson of Oklahoma City, Thelma Sellick of Oklahoma City, Ann Crutcher and husband Dwain of Ft. Worth, TX and Marie Terry and husband David of Edmond, Okla.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlis and Pearl Goodman, her daughter, Dema Robinson and a sister, Sharon Carlton.

Graveside Services will take place at Lookeba Cemetery on Mon., May 5, at 2 p.m., in Lookeba, Okla. with Rev. Mark Price officiating, services entrusted to Turner Funeral Home of Hinton, Okla. Condolences may be sent to the family at [email protected] or at our website, turnerfh.net
