Two trucks in separate I-80 accidents

On April 25, 29-year-old Jeremy Stallings of Sterling, Colo. was driving west on Interstate 80 three miles east of Sidney when he fell asleep, according to a Nebraska State Patrol news release. The semi that Stallings was driving struck the south guardrail, went into the median and then struck the back side of the eastbound guardrail, causing $4,000 in damages to the semi.

Stallings was using restraints.

Also on April 25, 49-year-old Bryan Rowbotham of Utah was headed west on Interstate 80 when, one mile east of Sunol, his semi drifted of the roadway, overcorrected and went into the northern ditch and rolled onto its side, according to a Nebraska State Patrol press release.

The 2014 freightliner Rowbotham was driving was totaled.
