Police investigate alleged drive-by shooting

On Sunday night a Sidney family’s evening was interrupted by an apparent drive-by shooting.

Investigators are looking into the incident and tracking down leads, Sidney police chief B.J. Wilkinson said. The alleged shooting occurred on Sunday evening around 8 p.m.

Amy Bell was at home with her children when they apparently heard a shot and called police. When officers arrived, they discovered a bullet hole in the window facing 11th Ave. The bullet had continued through to the kitchen wall.

No one was hurt in the incident.

At press time police were still in the investigation stage and had not reported an arrest.
