Jacob Rushman earned Eagle Scout status. Rushman is with Boy Scout Troop 8 of the Salt Valley District in Cornhusker Council of Nebraska. He is the son of Brooks and Angie Rushman. Grandson to Jim and Marlene Higgins of Gurley, and Russ and Ann Rushman of Dalton. He is a freshman at Southeast High School of Lincoln Public Schools.
Rushman's Eagle Project is with Eastridge Presbyterian Church of Lincoln. The project expanded the current playground area to include a new crawl through play structure, three benches, three picnic tables, a trash can, and rubber ground cover in the playground area. The project involved 245 man hours and incorporated 33 friends, church members, families and scouts. An Eagle Court of Honor will be held for Rushman on Sunday, March 16, at 2 pm at the Eastridge Presbyterian Church in Lincoln.
