The top seed Leyton Warriors earned a trip to the finals of the sub-district D2-11 tournament with a 56-37 victory over the Banner County Wildcats at Gering High School on Tuesday night.
The Warriors will move on to play No. 2 Minatare. The Indians ended No. 3 Garden County's season 44-42 Tuesday night.
The championship game will also be played at GHS with tip off scheduled for 7 p.m.
Three players scored in double figures for the Warriors with Brennen Cruise leading the way. He knocked down 22 points.
-Dylan Brenner added 17 and Cody McKay 12.
Jared Westman was the only other Leyton player to stretch the twine as he finished with 5 points. Brenner's offensive night included a team high 5 assists.
Cruise was also the rebound leader for Leyton with 10. McKay had 8 boards.
Alex W. Frerichs had two thefts.
