Stephen John Kahl, 55 and a Sidney native died suddenly of natural causes at his apartment in Omaha on Saturday, January 4, 2014.

A Memorial Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m., Sat., Feb. 22, 2014 in the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Sidney with Father Art Faesser officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorials are designated to St. Patrick's Catholic Church or the Health Center Foundation of Sidney for Diabetes Education.

Cremation has been held and there is no visitation at the funeral home. Friends who wish may sign the register book on Friday at the funeral home.

Stephen was born June 24, 1958 in Sidney, the son of Duane and Kathleen (McIntosh) Kahl. He was raised on his parents farm south-east of Sidney and attended the District 97 rural school. In sixth grade he transferred to St. Patrick's grade school. Steve attended St. Patrick's Jr.
