Students qualify for regionals after Peetz Bee

Peetz Plateau RE-5 held their annual spelling bee on Tuesday, Feb. 4, with 25 qualifying students competing.

This year’s first place winner is William Clowdis of Sterling, Colo. Peetz student Billy Joe Buchanan was awarded the runner-up spot.

Eight students and two alternates will advance to the regional bee, held in Brush, Colo.: Clara Lichti, Paul Houser, Owen Kurz, Jacob Bellinder, Logan Sircy, and Dom Naegle.

The alternate candidates are Sarah-Kate Splichal, and Tre Fehringer.
