Despite 18 points from Beth Bernhardt, the Peetz Bulldogs dropped a 41-40 decision at league rival Pawnee on Saturday.
The Bulldogs record fell to 8-4 while their league mark is now 3-3. Pawnee is 4-9 overall and 2-5 in 1A North Central.
In addition to leading the team in scoring while shooting 9-16 from the field, Bernhardt also pulled down eight rebounds. Mallori Bjerki led the squad with 10 boards. Morgan Burns and Bjerke each assisted on four buckets while Melissa Schumacher had three thefts.
Another important game awaits the ‘Dogs on Friday when they travel to meet division leading Briggsdale.
