From March 28-30, Chadron State College will be hosting its Fourth Annual Chadron State Hoop Shoot.
The Hoop Shoot is a youth basketball tournament for boys and girls in grades 5-8. The tournament is the primary fundraiser for Chadron State’s men’s and women’s basketball programs.
Chadron Men’s Coach Brent Bargen and Women’s Coach Tim Connealy have been directing the tournament for the past three years. Last year the Hoop Shoot drew over 400 participants.
“During that time we have made numerous upgrades and are extremely pleased with our current set up and format,” said Connealy. “The publicity and recognition the hoop shoot has generated for youth basketball in our area has been noticed by the participants, coaches, parents and community members.”
