Bits of wood, shingles and other materials tumble as a crew from the Sidney Public Works Department demolishes a house at 706 Elm St. on Thursday morning. The house had been deemed dangerous by the city and proper notification sent to the owners. No improvements to meet safety requirements were made, so the city asked for--and received--a court order to demolish the property after the owners removed their personal belongings.
