Powered by a season high 23 points from junior Casey Barrett the Peetz boys won a 59-50 district matchup against the Fleming Wildcats at home on Friday night.
The ‘Dogs record is now 5-5 on the year while Fleming improved to 3-6. Peetz improves its standing in district competition with a 4-1 mark.
Behind Barrett’s game-high point total, Josh Fiscus finished with 12 points, Tre Lewis 9 and Corbin Heller 8. Fiscus added to his offensive production with 6 assists.
Bradey Holtz and Cody Wilson were the top rebounders with 5 each. Holtz also led the team in steals with 6 while Fiscus had 4.
“It was very nice to get a league win,” said Bulldogs Head Coach Bill Fiscus. “Casey Barrett exploded for seven three’s but everyone contributed to this win.”
The Peetz girls team also finished Friday with a league win as they topped Fleming 41-35. The girls record now stands at 7-3.
Weldon Valley (3-7) will host the Peetz boys and girls in another district game on Saturday afternoon.
