Tracy Pelster of Dalton was named the new Sports Director at the Cheyenne County Community Center it was announced last week.
“I am so happy and fortunate to be a part of the Cheyenne County Community Center and look forward to serving Sidney, Cheyenne County and all the surrounding areas,” said Pelster.
Pelster replaces Kasey Kantor who left the Community Center last month to take a new job. She graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Administration. Since graduation she has been a Sports Program Coordinator at Prairie Winds Community Center in Bridgeport. She has also been a Recreation Director and then an Executive Director of the Carpenter Center in Terrytown.
In 2009 Pelster earned a degree as a Doctor of Chiropractic and is working her way torwards her licence to practice.
“I wanted to get back to my roots of sports and continue in my lifetime enjoyment of sports,” Pelster said.
