Myrtle Irene (Snow) Jenson was born April 7th, 1931 on the plains of Wyoming near Sheep Creek to Vincent and Louise (Doman) Snow. She attended school in Torrington, Wyo. Myrtle was united in marriage to Danial Elmer Jenson Jr. on Sept 18, 1962 in Rapid City, S.D. They made their home in Kimball where one son, John David Jenson, was born. Myrtle worked as a housekeeper at the Best Western Inn. Around 1981 she went to work for the Kimball County Manor as a cook where she worked until she retired to care for her husband in 1999. It was then that Myrtle and Dan moved to Sidney to be closer to family and friends. Myrt was a "rock hound" and was known to have a pocket full of rocks that she would pick up and admire, each with its own story. Myrt loved to do bead work and was often seen wearing a necklace she had fashioned. Myrt was rarely seen without a crossword book in her hand when just sitting and would say she was taught from a young age not to just sit idle. Myrt most enjoyed spending time on the farm with her family, whether is was watching the family care for the livestock, helping with canning for the winter ahead, or just spoiling her two great granddaughters, Nora and Leah.
Survivors include three sons; John Jenson and wife Amanda, Chester Becker, Richard Becker, two daughters; Jennifer Johnson and Cheryl Becker, grandchildren; Ryan Jenson and wife Sheena, Megan (William Brown) Jenson and numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren; Nora Jenson and Leah Jenson and numerous other great-grandchildren and extended family members; Robert and Patricia Beyer and their family, Serena Balance, Christopher Beyer and Willis Beyer.
