Joan Kay Bell, 68 of Sidney, passed away at the Golden Living Center, Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 30th with Wake services at 5 p.m., Sunday evening, Dec. 29th. Both services will be in the St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Art Faesser officiating. Burial will be in the Chappell Cemetery.
Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Sunday from noon until 3 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made in Joan's name to the Night of Hope.

Joan Kay Bell, the daughter of August Herman and Ann May (Leachman) Borm, was born on May 18, 1945 at Ovid, Colo. She attended the Chappell Schools before starting her family. Some of the many places Joan was employed included Epro Sewing Center, Dairy Queen, Dudes, Cabela's, the Clothes Hamper, Senior Assisted Living, ran a family day care and was full-time caregiver for her daughter Tiffanie.
Joan was an active member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, enjoyed gardening, her dogs and was active with the many O.H.D. activities.
Survivors include her children: Susan Elsen and husband Robert of Sidney, Larry Niemann of Phoenix, Ariz., Alan Niemann and wife Vicki of Omaha, Michael Bell and wife Carolyn of Ogallala, and Tiffanie Foland of Sidney; (1) brother: Bill Borm and wife Diane of Lodgepole; best friend: Eleanor Munshaw of Sidney; (8) grandchildren; (5) great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members and friends.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, (1) sister: Laurie Barnica and (1) nephew: Randy Barnica.
