Serving proudly since 1873 as the beautiful Nebraska Panhandle's first newspaper
In addition to its continued growth in the Sidney area, with plans for both an expansion of its corporate campus and a housing development to serve employees new and old planned for the next few years, Cabela’s is also growing its brand throughout the rest of the country.
Last week Cabela’s announced plans to open another outpost store in Bowling Green, Ky.
This 42,000 foot facility, which the company plans to open in fall 2014, will be the company’s second in Kentucky, joining one in Louisville.
Cabela’s plans to hire around 90 employees, mostly from the Bowling Green area, to staff the store. This location will include indoor wildlife displays, a gun counter, an indoor archery range and hand painted murals.
“The passion Kentuckians have for outdoor recreation combined with the success of our Louisville store makes Bowling Green a great fit for Cabela’s,” said Tommy Millner, Cabela’s Chief Executive Officer in a press statement. “We are excited to serve our thousands of loyal customers across the western part of the state and look forward to opening the doors.”
Cabela’s currently operates 50 stores in North America and plans to open 19 additional stores over the course of the next two years.
