Robert Edwin Gillham, 90, of Peetz, passed away Sun., Dec. 1, 2013 in Sidney. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wed., Dec. 11, at the Peetz United Methodist Church with Rev. DeVota Burry officiating. Inurnment will be at the Peetz Cemetery.

Robert was born on Feb. 20, 1923, in Peetz to Roy Edwin and Orpha Jane (Grace) Gillham. He graduated from Peetz High School and continued his education at Colorado State University graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in agriculture.

He served in the U.S. Army as a 1st Lieutenant in Germany during WWII.

Bob was a member of the Peetz United Methodist Church and held many offices at the church. He was also a club leader in the Boy Scouts and a member of the Peetz American Legion.

On June 5, 1949 he married Eva Margaret Wood in Peetz. Eva passed away in 2001 and Robert later married Vera Hornicek.

Robert is survived by his sons Robert E. Gillham and wife Mary Lou of Arvada, Lloyd A. Gillham and wife Carol of Iliff, Gary G. Gillham and wife Patti of Peetz, Keith E. Gillham and wife Carolyn of O'Neill, Neb.; daughter Kathleen J. Breidenbach and husband Dale of Ft. Collins; grandchildren Melissa, Christina, Greg and wife Barbara, Jeff, Kelli, Sara and husband Brad, Scott, Samuel, Joseph, Abigail, and Megan; great-granddaughter Monika.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eva in 2001; wife, Vera in 2012; brothers, Dean and Kenneth.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Peetz United Methodist Church or the Boy Scouts Long's Peak Council.

Chaney-Reager Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
