Howard John McClellan, 70, of Cheyenne, died on Tues., Nov. 19, 2013 at the Kindred Transitional Care Center.

He was born on April 11, 1943 in Canton, Ohio and had lived here since April of 2013.  He resided in Tallahassee, FL from 1989 to 2011.

Mr. McClellan graduated from Lincoln High School in Canton and attended one year of college at Kent State University.   He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was an electrical technician at Ohio Power Company for 14 years.

He is survived by a daughter, Melissa Waggoner (Derek) of Potter, Nebraska; a son, Robert McClellan (Tia) of Massillon, Ohio; and five grandchildren.

Mr. McClellan was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Carl McClellan; and his parents, Vernon McClellan and Helen (Both) Hofbauer.

Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
