Sullivan Hills Camp gets the word out

On Tuesday, Sullivan Hills Camp hosted a Business After Hours event at Buffalo Point Steakhouse and Grill.

Sullivan Hills is a 640-acre campground located north of Lodgepole. Fishing, paddle boating and kayaking are some of the most popular activities on the protected land full of wildlife.

Sullivan Hills hosts a Lutheran summer camp for kids in June and July, with the rest of the year left open for conferences and retreats for those of all denominations.

The venue hosts weddings, birthdays, family reunions, school groups and events for businesses in the area. Guests must provide their own programming, such as decorations and food as there is a kitchen on site, but no cook currently, but they do supply business needs such as wifi and a projector for presentations.

“We feel like we’re kind of a diamond in the rough,” manager and event planner, Dana Jahn said. “We want to get the word out there that we’re here and that we’re available.”

Sullivan Hills is available to all profit and nonprofit groups and offers competitive prices.

The venue is complete with six sleeping rooms, which accommodate up to 50 people. There are two meeting rooms, an auditorium that seats 120 and a large conference room that holds 60.

“The land has a rich history and it’s a very peaceful place,” Jahn said. “It’s a place set apart from anything you’d experience in the city.”
