The following people appeared in Cheyenne County District Court on Wednesday, Sept. 4, before the Honorable Derek Weimer:

Dwayne Burton, age 51 of Sidney, appeared for entry of plea on an amended charge of Attempted Possession of Meth. PSI has been ordered. Sentencing has been scheduled for Jan. 8, 2014 at 9:30 a.m.

Gabriel Taylor Nowak, age 31 of Finleyville, Penna., appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Hashish with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana over a pound, Possession of Cocaine and Drug Tax Stamps. The charges represent class III, III, IV, IV and IV felonies, respectively. Status for a suppression hearing or an entry of plea has been scheduled for Jan. 8, 2014 at 8:30 a.m.

Kenneth Turner, age 23 of Pittsburgh, Penna., appeared for a status hearing on the same charges as above. Status for a suppression hearing or an entry of plea has been scheduled for Jan. 8, 2014 at 8:30 a.m.

Alfredo Balandran, age 39 of Sidney, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Distribution of Marijuana, a class III Felony. He pled guilty to an amended charge of two counts of Distribution of Marijuana, both class IV felonies. PSI was ordered. Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 4 at 10 a.m.

Monica Gehrig, age 30 now of Sidney, (formerly of Sterling, Colo.) appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Distribution of Marijuana in a School Zone. This is a class ID felony. Her status hearing has been scheduled for Dec. 4 at 9:30 a.m.

Joshua Pilger, age 23 of Sidney, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Distribution of a Controlled Substance, a class III felony. Pending negotiations, a status hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 14 at noon.

Corbin Coomes, age 23 of Sidney, appeared for Arraignment on a charge of Distribution of Marijuana in a School Zone. This is considered a class ID felony. A status hearing has been scheduled.

Jarred Neuhalfen, age 20 of Sidney, appeared for a status hearing on a two count charge of Possession of Stolen Property. Both represent class IIIFs charges. A status hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 8, 2014 at 10 a.m.

Cordell Releford, age 19 of Sidney, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Distribution of a Controlled Substance: Marijuana. This is a class III felony. He pled guilty to an amended charge of Attempted Delivery/Distribution of Marijuana, a class IV felony. PSI was ordered. Sentencing has been scheduled for Jan. 8, 2014 at 10:15 a.m.

Trevor Franklin, age 20 of Sidney, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Distribution of Cocaine in a School Zone, which is a class ID felony. He pled guilty on an amended charge of Distribution of Cocaine, a class III Felony. PSI has been ordered. Sentencing has been scheduled for Jan. 8, 2014 at 10 a.m.

Jason Frei, age 56 of Potter/Dalton, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of 3rd Degree Sexual Assault on a Child, considered a class IIIA felony. His status hearing has been scheduled for Dec. 4 at 9:30 a.m.

Kristie Keenan, age 30 of Dalton, appeared for arraignment on a charge of Extortion, a class III felony. The defendant filed a Plea in Abatement. Status of the PIA is set for Dec. 4 at 9 a.m.

Cassandra Moul, age 33 of Sidney, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Assault on a Police Officer, a class IIIA felony. That has been continued to Dec. 4 at 8:30 a.m., pending plea negotiations.

Jennifer Cartwright, age 31 of Sidney, appeared for Arraignment on a charge of Possession of Methamphetamine. This is a class IV felony. She pled not guilty and a status hearing has been scheduled for Dec. 4 at 10 a.m.

Lynette Robertson, age 42 of Sidney, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute in a School Zone. The charge is a class 1D Felony. A jury trial is scheduled for Feb. 12 and Feb.13, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. Her pre-trial conference is scheduled for Jan. 29, 2014 at noon. She also appeared for a status hearing on a two count charge of Distribution of Methamphetamine in a School Zone, a class 1D Felony. Jury trial has been scheduled for Jan. 8 and Jan. 9, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. The pre-trial conference has been scheduled for Dec. 18 at 1 p.m.

Jason Cagle, age 31 of Sidney, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of terroristic threats, a class IV felony. His status hearing has been scheduled for Dec. 4 at 10 a.m.

Tana Austad, age 43 of Sidney, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Altering a Perscription Drug and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Both are class IV felonies. She pled guilty to an amended charge of Attempt on both those counts, both being class I misdemeanors. PSI ordered. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 8, 2014 at 10:15 a.m.
