October is breast cancer awareness month. The National Football League honors this by wearing pink accessories with their uniforms. The Sidney Raiders football players each donated $10 in order to wear pink socks and sweatbands in one of their games this month. All of the proceeds from the donations were given to the Night of Hope organization. Before practice on Thursday, the team presented the check to a representative of the organization.
