Coyotes back in the win column - in a big way

The Potter-Dix Coyotes football team ended a three-game slide with a convincing 60-6 win over the Crawford Rams last night.

The win at Crawford evens the Coyotes record at 1-1 in the district and 2-3 overall.

The Coyotes rushed for 121 yards as quarterback Tyler Magninie led the way 77 yards on just 10 carries. Magninie was even more evective through the air, as he completed 9 of 17 passes for 204 yards. Noah Nelson added a 78-yard completion.

Bryant Knigge was on the receiving end of Nelson's 78 yarder. In all Knigge hauled in three passes for 153 yards and three touchdowns. Magninie and Kelsey Rozelle each scored a pair of touchdowns. Magninie added six conversions to his night's work.

Cooper Hicks also crossed the goal line for six. Rozelle (79 yards) and Jake Johnson (26 yards) pulled in three passes apiece.

Defensively, Johnson was ever present as he made 18 tackles inlcuding a sack for a nine-yard loss. Johnson was responsible for three tackles behind the line of scrimmage. Anthony Valbusch pulled down eight Ram runners and Hicks seven. Knigge had an interception which he returned 20 yards.

Potter-Dix will host South Platte on Friday at 7 p.m.
