The Peetz Bulldogs volleyball team advanced its record past .500 to 7-6 with a straight-set victory at Briggsdale Thursday night.
The district win also advanced the Bulldogs record to 6-1 in the conference. Meanwhile the Falcons (4-5) remain winless in district competiton at 0-5. Peetz won the straight set victory 25-17, 25-19 and 25-14.
Front-court players Mikenna Curlee and Morgan Burns had another strong game at the net. Curlee threw down nine kills and Burns seven. Burns also had three blocks. Burns and Jodie Schumacher made no errors on their serve with 10 and eight attempts respectively. Burns night at the service line included four aces while Jessica Uhl added three more. Whitney Christian and Schumacher had multiple had multiple aces as well with two apiece.
Caitlyn Peetz led the diggers with 23 while Christian plied up 18 more. Melissa Schumacher had 14 digs.
Jodie Schumacher was at the top of the stat sheet in set assists with 12 and Uhl had eight.
The Bulldogs are out of action until next Thursday when they host Prairie at 5:30 p.m.
