The following people appeared in Cheyenne County Court on Monday, September 9, before the Honorable Randin Roland:

Casey Diedrich, age 25 of Sidney, appeared for entry of plea on a charge of 2nd Degree Trespass. This is a class II misdemeanor. A pre-trial conference has been scheduled for Oct. 15.

Atinot Staman, age 26 of Potter, appeared for entry of plea on a charge of 3rd Degree Assault: Fight by Mutual Consent, a class II misdemeanor. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for Oct. 15.

Harold Dunkle Jr, age 45 of Potter, appeared for entry of plea on a charge of 3rd Degree Assault: Fight by Mutual Consent. As with the above, it is a class II misdemeanor. He pled guilty to an amended charge of Disturbing the Peace, a class III misdemeanor. He received a fine.

Kevin Maes, age 20 of Potter, appeared for entry of plea on a charge of 3rd Degree Assault: Fight by Mutual Consent, also class II misdemeanor. His pre-trial conference scheduled for Oct. 15.

Morgan Dunkle, age 22 of Potter, appeared for arraignment on a charge of 3rd Degree Assault: Fight by Mutual Consent, a class II misdemeanor. He pled guilty to an amended charge of Disturbing the Peace, which is a class III misdemeanor. He received a fine.

Jana Gipfert, age 49 Sidney, appeared for entry of plea on a charge of No Proof of Insurance. The charge is a class II misdemeanor. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for Oct. 15 at 9 a.m..

Candace Chaeon, age 33 of Sidney, appeared for a pre-trial conference on a charge of DUI: 1st Offense. This is considered a class W misdemeanor. She pled guilty and received a $500 fine and 6 months probation.

Jeremy Hunter, age 22 of Sidney, appeared for entry of plea on a charge of 3rd Degree Assault, a class I misdemeanor. He pled no contest to an amended charge of 3rd Degree Assault: Fight by Mutual Consent, which is a class II misdemeanor. Judge Roland sentenced him to 30 days in jail.

Jacquelyn Lane, age 30 of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a charge of Trespass, a class II misdemeanor. Entry of plea has been scheduled for Sept. 23.

Timothy Grimm, age 32 of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a charge of DUI 1st Offense. The charge is a class W misdemeanor. Entry of plea has been scheduled for Sept. 23.

The following people appeared in Deuel County District Court on Monday, September 9, before the Honorable Derek Weimer:

Jenna Herrera, age 25 of Big Springs, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Distribution of Marijuana in a School Zone. This is a class II felony. She pled guilty to an amended charge of Distribution of a Controlled Substance, a class III felony. Sentencing has been scheduled for Oct. 15 at 10:30 a.m. in Cheyenne County. PSI was ordered.

Sharlemayne Dexter, age 38 of Big Springs, appeared for arraignment on a charge of Theft, a class III felony. A status hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 4 at 1:30 p.m.

Phillip Mays, age 30 of Beatrice, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Possession of Marijuana over 1 Pound. The charge is listed as a class IV felony. He pled guilty to that charge and sentencing has been scheduled for Nov. 4 at 1:30 p.m. PSI has been ordered.

Brian Emerick, age 21 of Elmhurst, Ill. appeared for arraignment on a charge of Possession of Hashish, a class IV felony. He pled guilty to an amended charge of Attempted Possession of Xanax, a class I misdemeanor. He received a fine totaling $800.

Thomas Laugeni, age 21 of Orange, Conn. appeared for arraignment on a charge of Possession of Xanax, a class IV felony. He pled guilty to an amended charge of Attempted Possession of Xanax, a class I misdemeanor. He received a fine totaling $800.

Stephen Greenberg, age 22 of Boulder, Colo. appeared for arraignment on a charge of Possession of Hashish, which is a class IV felony. He pled guilty to an amended charge of Attempted Possession of Hashish, a class I misdemeanor. He received a fine of $500.

Michael Price, age 33 of Watertown, SD appeared for sentencing on a charge of Possession of Marijuana over 1 Pound. The charge is a class IV felony. He received 30 months of probation.

Alan Lanning, age 33 of Watertown, SD appeared for sentencing on a charge of Possession of Marijuana over 1 Pound, also a class IV Felony. He received 60 months of probation.

Alfredo Balandran, age 39 of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a charge of Distribution of Marijuana, a class III Felony. His status hearing has been scheduled for Oct. 2 at 9 a.m.

Monica Gehrig, age 30 of Sterling, Colo. appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Distribution of Marijuana in a School Zone, considered a class ID felony. Her status hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 6 at 9:30 a.m.

Joshua Pilger, age 23 of Sidney, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Distribution of a Controlled Substance, a class III felony. A status hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 6 at 9:30 a.m.
