Preservation board plans to strengthen review process

Eight goals were identified by the Sidney Preservation Board's long term plan, currently in the drafting process.

The plan sets the guidelines for future development of Sidney's historical buildings. Goals include developing a legal framework for preservation, preparing education and outreach programs, detailing historic resources and other programs to strengthen the review process. Funding for the development of the plan came form the Nebraska State Historical Society, National Parks Service and the City of Sidney.
