Craig William Woodward was born July 14, 1960 in Chadron, Nebraska, the son of Warren and Mary Lou (Chaon) Woodward. He passed away on Monday afternoon, May 13, 2013 at Gardenview Care Center at the age of 52 years, 9 months and 29 days.
Craig grew up and attended school in Western Nebraska. He moved to the Shenandoah area in 1988 and worked for Nishnaland Seed for 10 years, Farragut Schools for 2 years, Pella for 10 years and Wal-Mart until his declining health forced him to leave. On August 19, 1993 he was united in marriage to Janet Good in Sidney, Nebraska.
Craig loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, metal detecting and riding his Harley. He enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to old country music, Merle Haggard being one of his favorites as well as he was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan. His true love was spending time with his family and many friends.
Craig is survived by his wife, Janet Woodward of Shenandoah, Iowa; his children, Kevin and wife Hayley and granddaughter Keira, of Denver, Colorado; Michelle Woodward and grandchildren Brianna and Rhece of Phoenix, Arizona; his mother Mary Lou Heins of Sidney and his brother Bruce Woodward of Maryville, Missouri; step-children John Good and wife Teresa, Chris Swanson and wife Katie, Davey Swanson and friend Christina; step-grandchildren Devin, David, Brett, Trevor, Nick, Travis, Kaylie, Shayle and Blake.
