Rose Behm, 84, passed away April 28, 2013. She was born November 5, 1928.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Louise McFadden, sister, Viola McFadden, brother, Thomas McFadden, and sister-in-law Martha McFadden.

Survived by her husband, Joseph Peter Behm, whom she married April 27, 1950, at St. Patrick’s Church, Sidney; children, Sandra Kay (Guinn) Pults, Parker, CO, Deborah (Frank) Genova, Pueblo, Joseph (Anne) Behm, Peoria, AZ, Pamela (Tess Gettler) Behm, Pueblo, Timothy (Christine) Behm, North Platte, NE, and Lisa (Charlie Gettler) Romero, Pueblo; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; siblings, Robert (Marilyn) McFadden, David McFadden, and Leanna (Terry) Kramer. Rose, above all else, loved her family and friends.

She and her husband Joe just celebrated 63 years of marriage on April 27, 2013, after meeting at the Sioux Army Depot in 1949.

Rose was a member of Christ the King Parish and Christ the King Altar Society. Rose thoroughly enjoyed playing at the casinos, cards, and scratch tickets. She enjoyed road trips to visit family and friends, camping and fishing. She was an excellent cook and baker. She volunteered for church activities and enjoyed watching sporting events for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rose immensely enjoyed helping other people and always made new friends wherever she went. Special thanks to Sangre de Cristo Hospice, especially Diane and Carolina. Thanks to her special friend Athena. Services, Christ the King Church: Rosary Recitation 7 p.m. Wednesday, and Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Thurs., with interment at Imperial Memorial Gardens. In lieu of food and flowers, contributions may be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice in Rose’s memory.
