Kids Plus to host third annual community partnership auction gala

The 3rdAnnual Community Partnership Auction Gala” event is scheduled for May 3rd at the Sidney Holiday Inn. This event will be hosted by Highpoint Spine and Joint Center in support of Kids Plus Inc. The Gala has been was a HUGE success the last two years and we are hoping for another successful event this year to help with Prevention efforts throughout the year. The Gala will begin with a silent auction and dinner and entertainment at 5:30pm and the live auction from 7-10pm. During the Gala event one business, individual and organization will be honored as Youth Advocates of the Year. This is a special award received by those who go above and beyond for the youth in our community. Because of amazing, caring people in our community, our youth have the opportunities to have a healthy community to live. In addition this year Kids Plus will present and announce our 1st Youth Academic Scholarship Award. This is just another way for Kids Plus to give back to the community. This exciting event provides the community with an opportunity to have fun and bid on a variety of great silent and live auction items, while supporting the Kids Plus Organization. President Diana Sonnie, “We encourage your neighbors, friends and local businesses to join this wonderful evening of events.”

Kids Plus is comprised of a group of adults and youth who have a passion for the future of our community and its youth. Kids Plus supports various prevention efforts across Cheyenne County. Proceeds for the event will go towards efforts sponsored by Kids Plus including, Creative Captains Football Camp, Cheyenne County Community Center Youth Activities, Teens in Prevention, Rocktoberfest, Cool Kids Club Activities, and Community Prevention Awareness. In addition Kids Plus is the 501(c)3 for The Cool Kids Before and After School Program and Cheyenne County CASA. Director Cassie Challburg, “This is an exciting opportunity for Kids Plus to grow their community partnerships and help support Kids Plus prevention efforts. We are thrilled to make this an annual event our community can participate in each year.” Event sponsors and item donors will receive recognition in the event program as well as throughout the Auction. Members of the community may join this event by purchasing a ticket from any of the following businesses: The Book and Coffee Corner, Steffens Home Interiors, 21st Century Equipment, Cheyenne County Community Center and Highpoint Spine and Joint Center or call 254-2225.
