Mildred Bules, 80, of Chappell, died late Wednesday evening, March 20, 2013, at the Ogallala Community Hospital in Ogallala.

Graveside memorial services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday April 6, 2013, in the Hillside Cemetery south of Julesburg, Colo.

Memorials have been established for Mildred’s grandchildren’s college fund.

Cremation has taken place and there is no visitation at the funeral home. Friends and family can meet at noon on Saturday at the Lion’s Den in Chappell prior to services.

Mildred May Bules, the daughter of Roy E. and Ada V. (Brown) Taylor, was born Aug. 2, 1932, four miles east of Julesburg on the river road.

On Jan. 8, 1954, she was united in marriage to Karl J. Bules, Jr. at Lodgepole. They lived north of Lodgepole before moving to Chappell.

Mildred enjoyed family history, gardening, sewing and reading.

She is survived by her husband Karl Bules, Jr. of Chappell; two sons, Karl J. Bules, III of Lodgepole, and Michael Bules of Oshkosh; one daughter Karleen Reichman of Chappell; three brothers, Roy Taylor of Hermiston, Ore., Ray Taylor of Burley, Idaho, and Clyde Taylor of Cook, Wash .; two sisters, Rose Starks of Nashville, Tenn. and Linda Walmsley of Chappell; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Evelyn and Mary; and a grandson James Kriha.

Holechek Funeral Home and Cremations in Chappell is serving the Bules family.
