Kick into gear, soccer signups underway

Those wanting to sign up to play soccer with the Sidney Soccer Club may sign up now until Feb. 5.

Go to the club’s website at http://www.sidneysoccerclub.com and print off the official form to sign up to play for one of the two teams. There is an Under 14 (ages 12-13) and Under 19 (Ages 14-18).

To turn in completed forms participants may do as Jan. 29 in Legion Park.

The website also contains complete information on the teams and other items.

Scott Mines is the coach of the Under 19 and John Drews in the coach of Under 14.

The co-ed season starts condition Feb. 7 with the regular season slated to begin in early March. The season runs to the end of May. With tournaments in June and July.

League matches include teams from Alliance, Ogallala, Grant, Imperial and North Platte.

The Black Hawks will also hold a Kick It 3V3 tournament July 20-21. This is a new tournament to the area, according to Mines.
