Jennifer (Plank) Stern, 53, died in a plane crash on Dec. 29, 2012, near San Diego, Calif. The pilot of the plane was her husband, William Stern, 65, who also died in the accident, and daughter, Katelyn, 19, a passenger in the plane also perished in the accident.

Jennifer was born in Granby, Colo., on Aug. 19, 1959, to Billy and Jane Plank. She graduated from Sidney High School in 1978. She attended travel agent school in Phoenix, Ariz.
