POTTER — For the first time at home, the Potter-Dix basketball teams posted a sweep, taking a pair Saturday night from visiting South Platte.
Jeff Einspahr’s girls improved to 6-2 with a 58-40 win. Taylor Juelfs had a game-high 15 points, including three 3-point shots, and Conner Wolff pitched in 12 and Amanda Maas eight.
P-D led 29-18 at halftime and gradually pulled away in the second half.
Juelfs added seven assists, while Conner Wolff grabbed seven rebounds and handed out five assists.
Maas snagged six rebounds.
In the boys’ game, Chad Miller’s Coyotes picked up their first home win in impressive fashion, knocking off the Blue Knights, 72-49.
Ahead just 17-16 after a quarter, P-D (2-6) outscored South Platte 41-21 in the middle frames to gain a huge lead of 58-37
Bryant Knigge’s 23 points led the Coyotes, Luke Johnson putting up 18 and Jake Johnson 11.
Both P-D clubs travel to Leyton Friday night,
