New year's resolution

Editor,

Our downtown business community continues to see growth and expansion. We are so fortunate to have very few vacant store fronts within our downtown area. Congratulations to all who are involved in making this happen.

I ask that we all make a New Year’s resolution to not park in front of our store fronts or other business store fronts. We need to keep these parking spots available for the customers shopping within our downtown. It takes all of us here to make this happen. What does it say to the customers when we use the store front parking spots for our own personal use, sometimes parking there all day leaving the customers we try to attract to our businesses to fend for themselves and have to walk? What does it say to your fellow business partners? We have many diverse services to offer the customers in our downtown. Let’s show them the respect and courtesy they deserve.

Make this the one New Year’s resolution that we keep.

We should be proud to live in a thriving community and together we can make a difference!

Happy New Year!
