Panhandle RC&D receives grant

The Panhandle RC&D announced recently that it has been awarded a grant of $ 5,077 by the

Nebraska Arts Council. This grant is to support the 14th Annual Intertribal Gathering at Fort Robinson State Park June 7, 8 and 9 of 2013.

Nebraska Arts Council’s Executive Director, Suzanne Wise, commended Panhandle RC&D for its programs, noting that “Panhandle RC&D” does an outstanding job of providing arts activities at the Intertribal Gathering at Fort Robinson State Park. It is through fine organizations like this that Nebraska’s children receive a better education in the arts, and the quality of life is improved for all Nebraskans.”

The Chadron Native American Center and the Friends of the Intertribal Gathering are key partners in this three day event. You are invited to attend the 13th Annual Intertribal Gathering at Fort Robinson State Park June 7th, 8th, and 9th ,2013. This is a Contest Powwow.

• Come experience a True Gathering of People. This is a multi-culture event open to the public.

• Native American Arts and Crafts displayed by over 15 Vendors selling Native American Arts and Crafts.

• Food vendors will be present to excite the pallet.

• 5-k run sponsored by the Pine Ridge Job Corps and Chadron Native American Center. Registration at 7:30 A.M. Saturday June 8th, 2013

• Grand Entries are at 7:00 PM June 7th, June 8th at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and June 9th 12:00 Noon Sunday.
