Teresa Myers, 64, of Sidney, died Tuesday evening, Dec. 11, 2012, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, in Holechek Funeral home in Sidney with Pastor Pete Morgan officiating. Inurnment will be on Jan. 4, 2013, in Greenwood Cemetery at York, Nebraska.

Cremation has taken place and there is no visitation at the funeral home.

Memorials have been established to the Wagon Tails Animal Rescue.

Teresa May Myers, the daughter of Robert and Theta (Mullin) White, was born July 29, 1948, at Oxford, Neb. She grew up in Oxford where she attended school. She later graduated from Doane College.

She worked in quality assurance and quality engineering for Sundstrand Aviation in York where she met her future husband, Ronald L. Myers. They were married on June 1, 1986, in Utica. After 12 years with Sundstrand she worked for NEAPCO in Beatrice for 5 years as a quality engineer. After her husband’s job at Cabela’s brought them to Sidney she semi-retired and worked part-time at Safeway.

Teresa was a certified FIFA Soccer referee and was an avid Detroit Lions fan.

She is survived by her husband Ron Myers of Sidney; four sons, Michael Mullen of Tampa Bay, Fla., Cyrs Myers and wife Jessie and their son Chase of Beaver Crossing, Neb., Jeb Myers and wife Jennifer and their daughters Isabella and Londyn of Lincoln, and Mark Mullen and wife Janelle of Dodge City, Kan .; one brother John White and wife Barbara of Sharonville, Texas; and one sister Tara Butler of Phoenix.

Holechek Funeral Home and Cremations in Sidney is serving the Myers family.
