Bill Maddox sits beneath his many awards, hanging on the wall just outside his office at Maddox Motors, as a car dealer. The family business that has been thriving for 74 years.
Maddox Motors is a name several generations of Cheyenne County residents will recognize, after all the new car and RV dealership has been around for 74 years.
According to Bill Maddox, today’s General Manager but third generation owner, “We had officially opened in 1939 in that white building behind the post office,” but due to World War II and the halt to production of cars the business didn’t make its return until 1946.
