Christine R. Bunsen, 80, of Omaha, passed away peacefully on Nov. 22, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.

The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the West Center Chapel of Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak-Cutler. Memorial service will be Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 10 a.m. at Rejoice Lutheran Church, 2556 S. 138 St. in Omaha. Memorials to National Kidney Foundation or American Liver Foundation.

Christine, born March 14, 1932, was a loving wife, mother and grandmother; and a dedicated elementary school teacher. She enriched the lives of all who knew her, and we will forever carry her beautiful smile in our hearts.

She is preceded in death by parents, Frank and Grace Pivonka.

She is survived by husband, Dale Bunsen; daughters, Elizabeth Bunsen and husband David Wilson, Jill Assman; grandchildren, Adam Assman, Emily Assman, Boone Wilson; sister, Carol Tilghman (Kenneth); nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
