SIDNEY – The second leading cause of death for Nebraskans aged 10-years-old to 44-years-old is suicide, according to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (NDHHS). SIDNEY – Sidney Police Department (SPD) announced it made a second arrest relating to the burglary at Haupt Storage. In a statement to the the Sidney Sun-Telegraph, SPD Chief Joe Aikens explained the department has been investigating this case since it was reported on May 6. On Thursday, May 18, Sidney Regional Medical Center held its long-awaited groundbreaking ceremony for its new Extended Care facility at the site of the Medical Center. Hastings College recently released its Dean's List for the spring 2023 semester. Included in that prestigious placement is 2020 Sidney High School graduate Alaina Kuhns.
